Gwendolyn Nelson joined the firm in 2022. Her practice focuses on antitrust and complex litigation. Currently, she represents plaintiffs as co-lead counsel in Mach v. Yardi Systems, Inc., No. 24-cv-063117 (Cal. Superior Ct. Alameda Cnty.), which alleges a conspiracy among Yardi Systems, Inc. and property-management companies to artificially inflate rental prices of multifamily residential units in California. She is also litigating In re Amitiza Antitrust Litigation, No. 21-cv-11057 (D. Mass.), which alleges that the brand manufacturer of Amitiza paid a generic company to delay its introduction of generic Amitiza into the marketplace.
During her tenure at the firm, Ms. Nelson has worked on In re Generic Pharmaceutical Pricing Antitrust Litigation (E.D. Pa.) (alleging price fixing); Simon & Simon, PC, et al, v. Align Tech., Inc. (N.D. Cal.) (alleging illegal monopolization); and TOA Trading LLC v. Mullen Automotive, Inc. (S.D. Fl.) (a contract dispute that settled favorably for plaintiffs). Ms. Nelson previously litigated complex federal class actions at Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Nelson worked as in-house counsel for Ensyn Corporation, a renewable energy company that produces low carbon fuels and chemicals.
Ms. Nelson has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2008. She was an editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal and held externships with the Honorable Deborah A. Batts in the Southern District of New York and the New York City Council. In recognition of her legal volunteer work, she earned an Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award from Fordham Law.
Ms. Nelson is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York, as well as the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
